In Totem, players reveal their strengths and mutual qualities by forming totems, combinations of an animal card (representing a force) and a quality card. Each player brings an animal card and a quality card to the other player's totem pole.
Players can earn more points if the cards they played were considered to be particularly relevant and accurate, either by the active player or by the other players. The favorite animal and the quality cards for this round remain in front of the active player and become their totem. The game ends when everyone has a totem pole.
