In this classic word game, players use the seven letters they have drawn at random to form words on the game board. Each word scored earns points based on the similarity of the letters used, with certain spaces on the board offering bonus points. However, a word can only be played if it uses at least one tile already played or if it is added to a word already played. This results in a slightly tactical element, as potential words are sometimes discarded because they would give the opponent too much access to the best bonus spaces.
