Avalon pits the forces of good and evil against each other in a battle for the future of civilization. Arthur represents the future of Brittany, a promise of prosperity and honour. But Mordred's unscrupulous servants are hidden among his brave warriors.
These representatives of evil are few in number, but they know how to recognize themselves. Only one of Arthur's vassals knows how to unmask them.
Merlin knows the agents of evil, but he can communicate only through enigmas, for if his identity were discovered, his fate would be sealed.
