Prince's Gambit is an occasional card game where each player is a vampire called to the court of the vampire prince of the city. Players must cooperate to win the Prince's favor while inducing who among them are secretly the undercover traitors of the Sabbath.
How to play
Players belong to one of the 14 Vampire Clans, and to one of two sects: the Camarilla, which presents itself as the aristocracy of the night, or the Sabbath, a cult of death imbued with fire and blood.
Camarilla players don't know who's in each sect, but Sabbath infiltrators know which other players are on their side.
The goal of the game is to solve the Intrigues by bidding for Trait cards that add up or subtract total points needed, as shown on the Intrigue card.
The Camarilla wants to have enough points to win the Plot, but the Sabbath wants the Plot to fail.
After each plot is resolved, players are awarded prestige points. The player with the most prestige points wins the prince's favor and can decide what the next plot is.
The game continues until the Camarilla gains enough Intrigues to stabilize the city, depending on the number of players, or the Sabbath manages to defeat three Intrigues, causing the collapse of the city's power structure.
