Description
The Batwing was Batman's custom-built aerial combat vehicle. The craft was fully armed with miniguns and missiles. Its storage location is unknown, but it was presumably kept somewhere near the grounds of Wayne Manor or in the Batcave. While the notion of Batman owning and piloting a bat-themed aircraft had existed in comics since 1939, the 1989 Batman film first introduced the classification of "Batwing." The film's Batwing was also the first of all the Bat-planes to be physically modeled after the bat emblem to such a degree.
