The 8th expansion offers players three new options while playing.
The bridgesThese can be used to extend a road onto a field tile, thus allowing an incomplete road to technically meet a field segment. They are otherwise treated and marked like roads.
Castle tokens: are placed at the top of 2-segment cities and allow players to enjoy the next adjacent feature completed.
The bazaarsThese are a new type of tile that allows players to auction off tiles in exchange for points. Part of the Carcassonne series.
