Axis-Allies celebrates 25 years of strategic war game with the release of a luxury theatre-level game in December 2009.
Axis-Allies Pacific 1940, designed and developed by Larry Harris, will use the updated rules established in the Anniversary Edition. Two new combat units will debut in this game, tactical bombers and mechanized infantry.
Australia and New Zealand, combined as ANZAC forces, will make their debuts as a new playable ally. China will deploy more forces than ever before, but will need all possible help from its allies, the United States, ANZAC and the United Kingdom to resist the might of imperial Japan.
Axis-Allies Pacific 1940 will feature an oversized board that measures 35 "wide by 32" high. With more than 450 pieces, luxury game components and local storage boxes, this game will raise the standard set by Anniversary Edition.
All the new rules for neutral nations, naval and air bases, kamikaze attacks and disrupting convoys will add even more depth and precision history to this giant game.
