The Class W tram is a family of electric trams built between 1923 and 1956. A total of 752 trams were constructed. A small fleet continues to operate on Melbourne's tram network. The Class W tram has become a cultural icon, and those remaining in Melbourne are listed by the National Trust of Australia.
