You are a crew member on a passenger plane bound for Barbados. You have flown this route countless times. Of course, you have experienced everything that is possible (and impossible) on these flights: technical malfunctions, turbulence, tour groups who also fly to Hamburg, Berlin, London or Amsterdam to visit so-called "escape rooms".
But what awaits you today will leave everything else in the dust. The weather service has already announced that things could get "a little tricky," but now you find yourself in the kind of electrical storm that can easily send even a seasoned crew into a state of panic. The clouds are nearly black, lightning flashes across the dark sky, and rain slaps the engines. Suddenly, an alarm light comes on… and another… and you get the feeling that the rest of the flight could become the greatest adventure you’ve ever experienced.
