The Castles of Burgundy is a tile-placement game, set in the Burgundy region of medieval Upper France.
Each player takes on the role of an aristocrat, controlling a small domain. While playing, they aim to build powerful settlements and castles, trade along the river, exploit silver mines, and utilize the knowledge of travelers.
Numerous strategies and agonizing dilemmas await you. Make the right choices to achieve victory.
The game unfolds in five phases, each consisting of five rounds, before the final dice are rolled. The 2019 edition of Castles of Burgundy includes eleven expansions, ten of which were previously released as promotional items and one new one in this version.
