Description
A dump truck, also known as a tipper truck or dump lorry, is used to pick up construction materials (such as sand, gravel, or demolition waste) as well as coal. A typical dump truck has an open-bed body, which is hinged at the rear and equipped with hydraulic cylinders to lift the front, allowing the material in the bed to be deposited ("dumped") onto the ground behind the truck at the delivery site.
