Description
The apollo 11 moon landing required two spacecraft: the lunar module (LM) and the command service module (CSM). Once in lunar orbit, the two separated so that the LM could land while the CSM waited in orbit. After taking off from the lunar surface, the LM's ascent stage would be reunited and docked with the waiting MSC, and then the astronauts would return to the main spacecraft and return home. It seems almost impossible, but it was like that on July 20, 1969.
