Enemies & Lovers is a light and fast-paced card game of strategy, deception, and betrayal, inspired by Holly Black's bestselling Folk of the Air series. If you enjoy devising Machiavellian schemes, celebrating your enemies' incompetence, admiring beautiful artwork, and making your cards shine, this game is for you!
There is only one crown of Elfhame.
Each player starts with three cards. You will have a "Hand", consisting of the cards you initially draw (or steal), and a "Court", consisting of the cards you have placed face down on the table in front of you.
During the game, your objective is to build your Court in order to acquire a Coercion card, a Prince card, and a Conspirator card. With the Crown card, you will have manipulated your prince to place him on the throne (where your conspirator will undoubtedly rule from the shadows) and win the game.
To win, steal, poison, and spy on your opponent's cards while hiding, protecting yourself, and setting traps in anticipation of their attacks. Each game lasts between 15 and 40 minutes, depending on the number of players and their skill (or cunning).
