Thistlewick is the liveliest village in the world, so much so that it's hard to keep track of everything going on: who won first prize for pastries at the neighborhood fair, who dug up Mrs. Bramble's carrot patch...

As editor-in-chief for one of the local dailies, it's up to you to tell these stories!

The front page is due in a few hours and you don't have time to quibble. Grab the juiciest stories before your competitors, without forgetting to get the right shots. Like any respectable business, a newspaper needs funding – so think about ads! After gathering an assortment of articles, photos, and ads, you need to lay out your front page. Have you collected enough tiles to fill the entire sheet, without having to make cuts? Three hectic days await you, and it's up to you to prove that you are the best editor-in-chief there is!

During each timed round, players simultaneously collect Newspaper tiles and pile them onto their desks, until they believe they have collected everything needed to produce the ideal front page. They then exclaim "Layout!" and begin composing their page by carefully arranging the opinion pieces, articles, photographs, and advertisements. When everything is ready, they shout "Print!", hoping their newspaper will be printed first – which will allow them to choose their opinion piece in the next round.
