In Rafter Five, you and your partners must build the largest possible raft, but you must be the only one who can get on it.
To begin, stack the lid and bottom of the box to create a base, then place the five wooden pieces (the rafters) on the starting card, which is itself placed on the base.
On your turn, lift a rafter, place a Raft card on the playing area, replace the rafter, then place one of your treasure chests on the raft… ideally in a precarious position, because if another player knocks over that chest, they must keep it in their hold. If a player accumulates five treasure chests belonging to other players in their hold, they are eliminated! (You can knock over your own chests without penalty, but you make it easier for other players.)
