Become the manager of your own movie theater! Choose the best films to attract viewers and thwart neighboring cinemas. An exciting management/bag-building/worker-placement game, with an original and captivating theme!
In Popcorn, each player manages their own movie theater and tries to show the best combination of films to satisfy audiences. Each week, it will be possible to choose the programming (new releases or sneak previews) and improve one's cinema by developing its screens. Each film screened can trigger several game effects, to be chosen during its showing in the theater.
The game takes place over nine rounds, during which you will have to stand out. When the film starts, you will draw spectators from your bag to see who has arrived at the entrance.
Place spectators on the right seats to activate special powers; pair them with the right movies and you also get a movie bonus, thanks to their enthusiasm for your good taste (you can also earn money, earn popcorn, seat additional spectators in your theaters, use advertising effects to steal spectators from competitors, kick out unwanted spectators, draw objective cards... among other possibilities).
