And while the world has changed, we've evolved with it, using everything we can find to build a new way of life.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLife in Reterra is a game of (re)construction, and it's up to each player to build their own community. To begin, choose one of three ready-to-play thematic building sets, or create your own. Each set includes five Building cards, each with building tiles.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eEach player starts with one square Land tile. Each Land tile is divided into a 2x2 grid, with each square representing one of five terrain types; a square can also contain a gear icon or one of four relic types. Players also have three Land tiles in hand, and five Land tiles are revealed.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOn your turn, choose a Land tile from your hand or from the revealed tiles, then add it to your community, which can be at most four tiles on each side. When a tile has a gear on it, you can either place a resident from the supply there, or place a Building tile from your community there. However, each part of the building must be supported by a gear, and all these gears must be on the same type of terrain.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOnce a building is in play, you gain the power of the Building card and can use it once on each of your subsequent turns. You can then place Relic tokens to score additional points, add residents, discard an opponent's relics, or score points by building large portions of land or by owning a more imposing building than other players.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWhen each player has sixteen tiles in their community, points are tallied based on the constructions made.
