Long ago, the gods decided to leave Earth to men and retired to live in the Heavens. They erected the Temple of Clouds, a symbolic border between the two worlds, where the Stone of Balance lies.
As the sun shone in the skies and the Earth flourished, the gods decided to open the temple doors to the most skilled individuals, allowing them to compete to become Kumo Hogosha, the guardians of the clouds.
Over the centuries, valiant warriors - the Kumotori - have clashed in the rotating arena of the four winds where the famous Stone of Balance is located.
Each year, a prestigious tournament is held where a single winner is elevated to the rank of Kumo Hogosha, a demigod among men.
Contenders for this title face each other in a duel that combines strength and strategy to demonstrate their skills in a myriad of combat techniques.
Today, it is your turn to continue writing the legend and confront these legendary warriors. Step into the arena, master its ever-changing environment, and bring the Stone of Balance into your opponent's camp to become a Kumo Hogosha!
To become a Kumo Hogosha, you must move the Stone of Balance out of the rotating arena, into your opponent's camp. The first player to succeed wins. The possible actions for players are:
Grab: The active Kumotori can grab and move another Kumotori (opponent or ally) one tile vertically or horizontally.
Throw: The active Kumotori can throw another Kumotori (opponent or ally) one tile vertically or horizontally.
Run: The active Kumotori can move from their initial position to adjacent tiles, vertically or horizontally.
Jump: The active Kumotori can jump over one or more adjacent Kumotori (not diagonally) and/or the Stone of Balance to land on the next free tile.
Block: The active Kumotori can sit on an adjacent opponent (not placed diagonally) to block them. You cannot block a Kumotori located on one of the eight tiles surrounding the Stone of Balance. On the next turn, the active player who is blocking will perform an action to unblock the opposing Kumotori, and move to an adjacent tile (not diagonally).
Kumo: Kumo is the only action that allows you to move the Stone of Balance. With this action, you can only move one tile. To move the Stone of Balance, you must have two Kumotori with the Kumo design face up next to each other, and next to the Stone of Balance.
