These are placed on the location board, events, and on destination cards. Workers perform various actions to develop a player's tableau: gather resources, draw cards, and take other special actions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n  \u003cp\u003eb) Play a Card: Each player builds and populates a city; a tableau of a maximum of 15 Construction and Critter cards. There are five types of cards: Travelers, Production, Destination, Governance, and Prosperity. Cards generate resources (twigs, resin, pebbles, and berries), grant abilities, and ultimately earn points. Card interactions reveal many strategies and an almost infinite variety of working cities.\u003c\/p\u003e\n  \u003cp\u003ec) Prepare for the next season: Workers are returned to the player's supply and new workers are added.
