In the charming Everdell Valley, beneath the branches of majestic trees, among winding streams and mossy hollows, a civilization of forest creatures thrives and expands. From Everfrost to Bellsong, many years have passed, but the time has come to colonize new territories and establish new cities. You will lead a group of creatures in this endeavor. There are buildings to construct, animated characters to meet, events to host – you have a busy year ahead. Will the sun shine brightest on your city before the winter moon rises?

Everdell is a dynamic tableau-building and worker-placement game.

On their turn, a player can perform one of three actions:

a) Place a Worker: Each player has a collection of Worker pieces. These are placed on the location board, events, and on destination cards. Workers perform various actions to develop a player's tableau: gather resources, draw cards, and take other special actions.

b) Play a Card: Each player builds and populates a city; a tableau of a maximum of 15 Construction and Critter cards. There are five types of cards: Travelers, Production, Destination, Governance, and Prosperity. Cards generate resources (twigs, resin, pebbles, and berries), grant abilities, and ultimately earn points. Card interactions reveal many strategies and an almost infinite variety of working cities.

c) Prepare for the next season: Workers are returned to the player's supply and new workers are added. The game is played from winter until the start of the next winter, where the player with the most important city wins.
