Michael Kiesling, the author of Azul, invites you to step into the shoes of talented marquetry artisans tasked with classically and tastefully renovating the damaged parquet floor of a famous café, the "Café de Fleur".

A game of Café de Fleur is played over 3 rounds. At the start of each round, you draw a card that gives you 10 colored and wild cards. These cards will then be used to pay for the different ornaments you wish to place on your board.
The pieces you place need to be paid for with cards corresponding to the color of the outer frame of your rosette (the first piece you place). Whatever piece you place, the cost will always be one and only one card.

Depending on the piece you place, you will be required to discard a certain number of cards (between 1 and 4) and will always draw a corresponding number of cards to balance the final cost to one card. For example, when you pay 1 card, you don't draw anything. When you pay 2 cards, you draw 1 card, and so on... However, the cards you draw must not be wild cards, nor cards of the same color as those you used to pay for your ornament!

Once you have no more cards in hand or no longer wish to place any (you can keep up to three cards for the next round), you can pass your turn. The round ends when all players have passed their turn.

Will you succeed in brilliantly renovating the parquet floor of Café de Fleur and winning the game?
