The most common are the BANG! cards, which allow you to shoot another player, assuming the target is within range of your current weapon. The targeted player can play a MISSED! card to avoid being shot. Other cards can provide temporary in-game boosts (for example, different pistols to improve your range) and unique special effects to help or hinder your opponents (such as Beer to restore health, or Barrels to hide during a firefight). A horse is useful for keeping your distance from unruly neighbors, while the Winchester can hit a target at a distance of 5.
