Splendor Duel is an all-new 2-player game with unique and innovative mechanics, designed by Marc André and Bruno Cathala. Will you be the one to wear the crown? Face off against your rival guild in a race to victory. Collect gemstones and pearls from the common board, and earn royal favors and prestige! Players will recognize some of the key aspects of Splendor: the Renaissance jewel theme, high-quality components, and card and token acquisition mechanics, which increase prestige and purchasing opportunities.
However, Splendor Duel is based on entirely new rules and offers unique game content: a common board, Privilege tokens, and Royal Favor cards. Furthermore, even if the famous tokens still represent gemstones, they are in a compact format and are joined by pearls, a new resource. Finally, cards have multiple characteristics and varied abilities that will trigger additional turns, bonus tokens, etc., to achieve one of the three victory conditions.
Splendor Duel is aimed at a wide range of players: Splendor fans who want to discover the game's new rules and try new tactics, and fans of 2-player games who will experience a fierce duel in less than 30 minutes.
