William Whewell, member of the University of Cambridge, was one of the founders of the Cambridge Philosophical Society in 1819. It is said that there was only one condition for becoming a member of this Philosophical Society: candidates had to pass an admission test consisting of opening a mechanical box, the “Cambridge Labyrinth”, imagined by William Whewell himself.

It's your turn to take note of this challenge which, in the past, marked for many inventors the first step in their foray into the world of science and engineering!
