Description
The Schleich® DINOSAURS Brontosaurus is one of the best-known herbivorous dinosaurs from the Late Jurassic period.
The Schleich® DINOSAURS Brontosaurus has a long tail, an enormous body and a narrow neck. The dinosaur weighed around 15 tons and was 22 m long. Although Brontosaurus skeletons have been discovered, scientists have never found a skull. It probably had a small head similar to that of the Apatosaurus.
The name Brontosaurus means "thunder lizard". Scientists once thought the dinosaur cracked its tail like a whip.
