A Japanese racing and sports competition game featuring athletes with special powers. True to the Climber series, this game comes in a small, colorful box with simple components. Game Summary: Each player starts with a starting sum to build their team of runners.
The runners are drawn at random, and each possesses a unique power (generally modifying movement rules, sometimes granting additional abilities before or after the race). The selection process is as follows:
unbought runners are moved one space down on the board (their price decreases with each move), then a new card is added to the draw pile. If all spaces are occupied, a runner must be bought. Once the runners are selected (some remain out of play), 4 or 5 races are run. For each race, players secretly and simultaneously choose a runner. Then, in turn, they roll a six-sided die and move their runner.
Of course, special powers modify movements throughout the race. The first two to cross the finish line score victory points (more points in subsequent races); the team with the most victory points at the end of all races wins!
