Scythe's sequel sends players on a new adventure into Siberia, where a massive meteorite crashed near the Tunguska River, awakening an ancient corruption. An expedition led by Dr. Tarkovsky ventures into the taiga to learn more about the meteorite and its impact on the land. In search of adventure, war heroes privately fund their own expeditions to Siberia, hoping to find artifacts, overcome challenges, and ultimately achieve glory.
Expeditions is a competitive, card-driven, engine-building exploration game. It's designed to evoke similar feelings to Scythe, even though the mechanics are different: Play cards to gain power, cunning, and unique worker abilities; move your mech to mysterious locations and gain found cards from the tiles; use workers, items, meteors, and quests to upgrade your mech; and use power and cunning to overcome corruption.
Expeditions includes 5 massive miniature mechs and mech mats, 20 location tiles, over 100 uniquely illustrated cards, 50 worker meeples, a bag filled with 36 screen-printed corruption tiles, a robust Automa solo mode, and much more.
This standard edition of Expeditions includes plastic mech miniatures and plastic base inserts.
