As a team of rangers, your mission is to ensure the well-being of the various species in your wildlife reserve while protecting them from potential threats. In The Peak Team, a cooperative game by Scott Almes, 2 to 5 rangers work together to explore the reserve and accomplish their missions before running out of actions!
The main board represents the natural reserve, dominated by an imposing mountain divided into distinct regions. Using a "reverse draft" mechanism, where each player assigns their cards to others, the rangers acquire the tools they need to explore the mountain by taking different paths and transport systems.
By reaching different locations and observing the flora and fauna, players complete their personal missions and earn bonuses. Each ranger has two mission slots that fill up as tasks are completed. In addition, each ranger is slightly asymmetrical and possesses unique abilities that can significantly impact the game.
Only by completing all missions before running out of actions will the rangers successfully fulfill their duty!
The game also includes an advanced mode with a weather mechanic, offering a significant challenge to experienced players.
