A new escalation in the war of neighbours, as the two belligerents of the famous Schotten Totten have decided to step up their game for an epic... and asymmetrical tactical duel! In Schotten Totten 2, the two adversaries are now pitted against each other for the capture of a Castle. The attacker and defender must prove their superiority over the wall locations. But this time, each player has different objectives and their own victory conditions! Choose your side! A real novelty of Schotten Totten 2, the asymmetry changes the game experience. Indeed, the victory conditions are now different on each side of the wall. Only the attacker can claim a tile; the defender's only option is to prevent them from doing so. And while the defender has three cauldrons of boiling oil allowing them to discard an opponent's card, the attacker has the option to retreat on certain tiles to return stronger later. In short, two distinct roles, each with its own objective and offering very different gameplay sensations! Tactics and boiling oil Schotten Totten 2 obviously takes up the mechanism of its illustrious predecessor, i.e., playing cards to gain majority on specific areas. Each card combination allows claiming superiority on the wall, but be careful: here too, everything changes! Indeed, each wall is now specific, and players are thus forced to impose placement constraints to gain the majority! A subtlety that adds a lot of variety to the game and multiplies the possible approaches. This contribution therefore forces the attacker to make more marked choices depending on the cards they have in hand. The attacker wins if they manage to damage 4 Walls, or create a breach on a damaged tile. More playful, more engaging, and still as intense! Reinforced by its new asymmetrical dimension, Schotten Totten 2 offers a much denser game that naturally invites players to chain games by alternating roles. More tactical and more intense, it invites new types of confrontations while remaining faithful to its illustrious heritage. This heritage is also reinforced by Djib's brushes, once again at the helm with splendid illustrations on this second opus.
