What do our heroes do when the same four walls of a tavern get a little boring? They go on a bar crawl! A new standalone expansion in the award-winning series! Our illustrious heroes have spent many hours (and a lot of money!) at Greyport's legendary tavern, The Red Dragon Inn. But even the most loyal patrons want a change of scenery from time to time.
So what do our heroes do when the same four walls of the tavern get a little boring? A bar crawl! The Red Dragon Inn 8 features five new characters, the proprietors of five new taverns, as well as a new variant where players can visit multiple taverns instead of staying at The Red Dragon Inn.
The Red Dragon Inn characters go bar hopping to other taverns and inns in town (The Black Dragon Depths, The Harmonious Cup, Lucky's Rolling Barrel, The Scurvy Dog, Startusk's), discovering new drinks and new characters (the tavern proprietors: Father Farai, Lucky the Scoundrel, Nerodia the Petryfier, Phyll Startusk, Samantha the Bookie).
Each tavern adds its own twist to the rules. Each time a player reveals a drink that includes one or more adventurers, the game token moves to another open tavern once the drink and all other pending effects are resolved.
Each tavern has an event that triggers when the party arrives there. It also has its own drink pile, and once it's depleted, the tavern closes. The party only returns to The Red Dragon Inn once all other taverns have closed.
