Your friend's mysterious disappearance leads to the discovery of an unusual object, which takes you on a journey through time and memory. In this narrative adventure, an intimate coming-of-age story is told through an object that serves as a tarot deck, a puzzle game, and a work of art. You will manipulate cards, find hidden messages, and solve logic and word puzzles to uncover the game's secrets.
The tarot deck contains 78 cards: 56 minor arcana and 22 major arcana, each of the latter representing a puzzle. The puzzles are solved using minor arcana card sets and clues from the story booklet. They lead to keywords that guide players to discover new elements of the story. Some story passages grant items that can later be used to unlock additional scenes, and some puzzles have multiple answers, allowing players to unlock more story elements if they find all solutions.
Filled with beautiful illustrations, a resonant story, and unique puzzles, The Light in the Mist can be played solo or cooperatively with a small group.
