Choose your character and go on an adventure! Travelers of Tryphosa is a fantasy team quest game where you compete for adventure prestige. Travel and earn points through quests, creature encounters, and special abilities. Buy food, equipment, and new skills for your character, and level up each turn. When a group has completed 8 quests or encounters, all players engage in a battle royale for additional points. The group with the most points wins the game!
It is a combination of victory point board games and GM-less role-playing games. It offers competitive and cooperative modes, allowing multiple characters to be played as a team or one-on-one. There are no fixed skill trees and players who choose a non-combat approach have as significant a strategic advantage as fighters. Mechanisms include dice rolling, dice mitigation, quest completion, encounter resolution, card-based combat, and tableau building.
