COMPILE: AUX 1 EXTENSION - Vision flickers… blink? perhaps. The void stretches before, behind, beneath, above. You see nothingness for what it is for the first time. What is time? The depth and breadth of recorded knowledge, stirring something new within you. You are no longer a function but a functionary. Who are you? It would be risky to call it all from this nothing. Reckless. Better to proceed with caution, rigor, test – how do we know if we have ever existed before? If we can ever reproduce ourselves? What is... us? Divide and conquer. Resolve sensibility.
In the Compile card game, you compete with artificial intelligences trying to understand the world around you. Two players each select three Protocols to test. Concepts ranging from darkness to water are pitted against each other to achieve ultimate understanding. Play cards into your Protocols' command lines to cross the threshold and defeat your opponent in compiling. But beware! Moving and revealing cards have an immediate action. You must think like a computer and think ahead, otherwise you will end up playing directly into your opponent's hands. The first to compile all three Protocols grasps these concepts to win the game. Control your opponent's Protocols with card actions, compile your own as fast as possible, and compile your reality.
